The US power is close to collapse while the power of the Islamic Republic is growing, Zakzaky said at a ceremony held in University of Tehran late on Saturday.
The ceremony was convened to present an honorary doctorate degree to the Nigerian Shia figure.
At the ceremony, the Nigerian Shia cleric talked of his campaign over the past half a century and said he was not willing to be known.
Referring to the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran under the leadership of late Imam Khomeini, Sheikh Zakzaky said he changed his mind to teach the Nigerian students after the late Imam departed from Paris, France, to Tehran in the same year.
About the Islamic Revolution, he said all even the communists had been impressed by the Islamic Revolution.
Sheikh Zakzaky along with his family is visiting Iran. On Saturday, he met with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
