During a phone conversation late on Sunday, Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein discussed bilateral ties as well as the latest developments in Palestine.
They called on Islamic countries to take coordinated and effective action to help Palestine and put an end to Israeli aggression against Palestinians.
While underlining the legitimate right of the Palestinian nation to resist aggression and occupation, Amirabdollahian said the operation of the Palestinian resistance groups against the occupation is a “natural response” to the continuous aggression and extreme actions of the Zionist regime against Islamic holy places, including the al-Aqsa Mosque, and its killing of the Palestinians, especially women, children, and prisoners.
The Iranian foreign minister also called on Islamic countries to strive to put an end to the Zionist regime’s atrocities against the women and children of Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
At least 700 Israeli settlers and soldiers and 400 Palestinians have been killed since the Palestinian resistance launched a surprise operation dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the regime in response to its desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
