Iran president, resistance leaders discuss Palestine developments over phone

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has reportedly had phone conversations with Palestinian resistance leaders over the latest developments in Palestine.

In separate phone calls with Ziyad al-Nakhalah, Secretary General of the Palestine Islamic Jihad, and Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, on Sunday, President Raisi reviewed the situation underway in the occupied lands.

Gaza-based Palestinian Resistance launched their biggest operation against Israel in years on Saturday morning, in a surprise offensive that combined fighters crossing the fence into the Israeli-occupied territories with a heavy barrage of rockets and drone attacks from the Gaza Strip.

In his message to the secretary general of the Palestine Islamic Jihad, the Iranian president said that the ultimate victory of the Palestinian nation is a divine promise.

President Raisi noted that the Iranian nation will always stand by the freedom-seeking independent nations, especially the people of Palestine.

He stressed that the Zionist regime is declining and the resistance front is conquering the peaks of victory.

The president added that what happened in the occupied lands in the fight against the Zionist regime was a great and unprecedented event in 70 years.

“You really made the Islamic Ummah happy with this innovative and victorious operation,” he said.

The Palestinian side, for his part, thanked the support from the Iranian leader, government and nation for the Palestinian people.

Al-Nakhalah briefed President Raisi on what is going on in the occupied lands, adding that these good days and victories will continue.
