A ceremony to open the complex was held on Thursday, with provincial officials in attendance.
Sadeq Barzegar, the director general of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Mazandaran was among the attendees.
He said that efforts need to be made to develop health tourism in the northern province. He also said that plans are required to better introduce the newly-opened complex and attract tourists.
The health tourism complex in Nowshahr includes accommodation, a café and restaurant, offering different medical services. It has created job opportunities for 40 people.
