Peyman Ghavidel and Sepehr Saatchi, two Iranian paddlers, clinched the bronze medal in the men’s kayak event.
They recorded a time of 1:39.291 in the men’s kayak 500-meter final competition at the Fuyang Water Sports Center in Hangzhou.
In another commendable performance, Adel Mojallali and Kia Eskandani, two other Iranian paddlers, bagged the bronze medal in the men’s canoe double 500-meter contests with a time of 1:50.486.
The 2022 Asian Games, also known as Hangzhou 2022, is a continental multi-sport event being held from 23 September to 8 October 2023 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China.
Iran has sent a contingent of 289 male and female athletes participating in 34 sports divisions to the Games.
