Ali Akbar Mehrabian said on Friday that most of the transferred water will be used for the industry and agricultural sectors in the province and a part of it will be filtered as drinking water.
He further noted that in comparison, this quantity of water is equivalent to about 70 percent of the drinking water or a significant portion of the agricultural water in the Isfahan province.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi inspected the implementation progress of the first phase of the project on Friday.
In the first phase, 70 million cubic meters of water will be transferred from the Sea of Oman, followed by 400 million cubic meters in the subsequent phase.
With the active involvement of 14 contractors at 24 locations, the initial phase is expected to be completed soon.
