President Raisi’s plane touched down on Thursday evening and he was welcomed by his vice president, Mohammad Mokhber.
Raisi set off for New York early on Monday at the head of a high-ranking delegation and addressed the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, calling on the world body to play a more active role in global development, and peace and security.
In addition to his address at the UN General Assembly, the Iranian president engaged in 12 diplomatic meetings with heads of state and prime ministers, and participated in five other gatherings.
Raisi also met and engaged in discussions with prominent American media editors and correspondents, US foreign policy intellectuals, members of the US Council on Foreign Relations, religious leaders, and Iranians residing in the US.
