Alckmin made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Brazil Hossein Gharibi on Sunday.
Both sides discussed agendas of bilateral relations with Brazil, the capacities of increasing trade exchanges and economic cooperation, the two sides’ contributions to facilitate the private sectors' cooperation, and new developments in relations, including the formation of BRICS as a new platform for closer cooperation between Iran and Brazil.
Referring to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's government’s policies for paving the ground for foreign exchanges, Alckmin stressed the government’s determination to promote relations.
He also offered the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services’ readiness to hold the new round of the inter-governmental meetings.
Meanwhile, Gharibi called for taking advantage of capacities in mine, industry, knowledge-based, technology, and petrochemical fields.
