The presidents of the two countries have also stressed the need for the development of relations between Tehran and Tashkent, the top diplomat said on Thursday in a meeting with Iran’s new ambassador to Uzbekistan.
The meeting took place before Ambassador Mohammad Ali Eskandari departs for Tashkent to begin his diplomatic mission there.
Eskandari has previously served as Iran’s charge d'affaires in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Ireland, among other positions.
