The neighboring countries of Iran and Pakistan have many cultural and historical commonalities. Both are Muslim nations and have numerous capacities to expand cultural ties, Jamal Shah told Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Pakistan Ehsan Khazaee.
The two met in the capital Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Pakistani minister referred to the developments Iran has made over the past decades in film-making industry, saying that his country is keen to expand cooperation with Iran in that regard as well as to work on joint production of films.
Khazaee on his part gave a briefing about Iran’s cultural activities in Pakistan and announced his country’s readiness to further expand relations with its eastern neighbor.
He said that 9 Iranian cultural centers are currently active in Pakistan, which shows the importance of cultural relations between the two sides.
