President Raisi and Fuad Hussein, who is on a visit to the Islamic Republic, held talks on Wednesday afternoon Tehran time.
Earlier in the day, the top Iraqi diplomat and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian held talks covering bilateral ties as well as regional issues.
A security pact between the two neighbors was high on the agenda, with Amirabdollahian saying that Iraq will fully execute the agreement in the coming days to ensure terrorist groups in the border areas pose no threat to the Islamic Republic.
