According to Abolfazl Amouei, the spokesman of the committee, Tangsiri expounded on the achievements in the four areas of the increased speed of the vessels, their capacity to carry weapons, including rocket and missile launchers, their increased resilience, and use of smart equipment, including artificial intelligence, in a meeting with members of the committee on Monday evening.
“Rear Admiral Tangsiri pointed out that the IRGC Navy has taken great steps in strengthening the country’s defense power against threats by relying on domestic capabilities,” Amouei said.
The top lawmaker also quoted Tangsiri as saying that security in the Islamic Republic of Iran is “people-based”.
The IRGC Navy chief also discussed the policy of building houses in the Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf and explained the measures carried out by his forces in serving the people of the coastal areas, Amouei added.
