Speaking to IRNA on Sunday, Qasem Motalebi said that foreign trade includes export, import, transit, temporary entry and exit.
Out of the total foreign trade from Parvizkhan border, $389 million worth of goods weighing just over one million metric tons were exported, which has grown by 38% compared to the same period last year, he added.
The value of exports from the Parvizkhan border has increased by 20%, he said adding that the main goods exported to Iraq are fruits and vegetables, dairy products, cakes and cookies, metal products, plastic products, stone, tiles, and construction materials.
Kermanshah province in western Iran has two official border crossings and five border markets along its 371-kilometer frontier with Iraq.
More than $3 billion dollar worth of goods are exported from Kermanshah’s borders every year.
