-- Iran’s booming oil flow surges above 2mbd
Iran’s oil exports are surging this month, swelling global flows at a time when other producers are cutting back, according to a firm that monitors satellite imagery of individual tankers.
The boom is awkward for the US, which officially still has sanctions in place that should restrict Iran’s shipments. Even so, the extra cargoes will help cushion the impact of reductions by Saudi Arabia, Russia and other nations in the OPEC+ alliance, Bloomberg reported on Monday.
-- Annual caviar production to hit 100 tons by 2025
Iran has targeted to produce 10,000 tons of sturgeon meat and 100 tons of caviar by March 2025.
There are about 13 species and four hybrids of sturgeon bred in the world and by March 2025 Iran is predicted to produce 100 tons of caviar, said Mahmoud Bahmani, the head of Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO).
-- Iran collects associated gas to stop flaring
Collecting gas burners in Iran’s oil and gas resources has been one of the main concerns of the oil industry. Fortunately, last year some decisions were made for the country’s petrochemical and refinery units to achieve the target.
Annually, more than 150 billion cubic meters of gas flares around the world are turned into contaminants, as the figure is equivalent to one third of the gas consumption of the whole Europe, according to World Bank.
According to the statistics of the World Bank, until 2018, Iran was the third country after Russia and Iraq among the producers of associated gas, however, it is said that the amount of flare burning in Iran decreased from 17 billion cubic meters in 2018 to 13.78 billion cubic meters in 2019 which leads to burning about 38 million cubic meters of gas daily.

-- Storytelling Festival to Gather Talented Children in Capital
The 25th International Storytelling Festival will be held in December in the Iranian capital. According to the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults – Kanoon, the festival will be held in four sections including “Modern and Classic”, “Traditional and Ritual”, “Sign Language” and “90 Seconds” in order to promote the capacity of storytelling in society as a comprehensive educational approach.
The Classic section includes ancient times, traditional, religious, and heroic stories, which are performed by the storyteller in the usual storytelling manner.
-- Defense Ministry to Unveil Unmanned Qaher-313
A defense ministry official said Monday Iran plans to unveil the unmanned version of the domestically-developed Qaher-313 (Conqueror-313) stealth fighter aircraft within the next few months.
Brigadier General Afshin Khajehfard, head of Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO), said the unmanned fighter jet is being built in two versions and will be put on display in the coming months.
-- Algeria, Iran Discuss of Expansion Relations
The parliament speakers of Iran and Algeria here Monday discussed plans to enhance regional and international cooperation between the two countries.
Addressing a joint press conference with his Algerian counterpart Ibrahim Boughali, Iranian Parliament speaker Muhammad Bagher Qalibaf said a main subject in their talks was the promotion of bilateral, regional and international relations.
Stressing the need to revitalize the economic commission of the two countries, Ghalibaf said Tehran and Algiers should broaden their shipping routes.

-- 100,000 residential units to be delivered to applicants in Government Week
Transport and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash announced that 100,000 residential units will be handed over to the applicants in the cities and villages throughout the country during Government Week (starting on August 24).
Last week, the minister announced that 1.55 million units of the National Housing Movement plan are under construction across the country. He said that the government is facilitating the provision of land to mass builders that are participating in this plan.
-- Campaign implemented to highlight breastfeeding
A campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance of breastfeeding has been implemented across the country. The campaign called “Let's go around her like a butterfly”, was carried out in 400 hospitals and 100 midwifery centers in 22 provinces of the country.
World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated from 1 to 7 August every year. Breastfeeding acts as babies’ first vaccine, protecting them against many common childhood illnesses.
-- 15 qanats, enduring heritage of Iranians, listed by UNESCO, under restoration
Restoration work has commenced on 15 Persian qanats, ancient subterranean aqueduct systems for supplying water, which is listed as World Heritage by UNESCO since 2016.
15 qanats, which are situated in Fanuj county of Sistan-Baluchestan province, southeast Iran, have undergone restoration with the participation of local farmers aimed to increase irrigation, Young Journalists Club reported.
The Ministry of Agriculture, for its part, has allocated 40 billion rials (some $80,000) to the restoration project. Fanuj county is home to about 220 qanats, the report said.
