The remote sensing department of the ISA evaluated the status of the Caspian Sea during a study that included a 10-year period and confirmed diminishing water levels in the Caspian Sea.
The studies show that the northern part of the Caspian Sea has been facing diminishing water levels, especially over last two years.
Dropping the level of the Caspian Sea is insignificant in the southern part of the sea, particularly on the Iranian coasts due to the depth of the sea in this area, but the process of reducing the sea level of the Caspian Sea is considered an important and serious issue.
