Hamid-Reza Fallah, director general of the Industry, Mining, and Trade department of Khuzestan, told IRNA’s correspondent on Wednesday that the license to construct the company has been issued and the construction of the big project will begin soon with the presence of the First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber.
He explained that an agreement was signed between the Industry, Mining and Trade Department and the Khuzestan Governorate during the second provincial visit of President Ebrahim Raisi to the province, which led to the issuance of the license to establish Avat Oraman of Omidiyeh Company.
Fallah further said an investment of $1.5 million has been earmarked for the construction of the company, adding, “This company will be built in the form of downstream chains of petrochemical industries, and it will create 15,000 direct and indirect jobs in the region.”
With 22 petrochemical companies, Khuzestan is considered as one of the hubs of the industry in Iran.
