The conference aimed to discuss the prospects of partnership and cooperation between Iran and BRICS countries. BRICS is an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The group represents five major emerging economies in the world. Iran has applied to become a member of the group of emerging economies known as the BRICS.
