Bagheri Kani made the remarks in a Sunday meeting with Serbian Deputy Foreign Minister Goran Aleksic, who is leading a diplomatic delegation on his second round of visit to Tehran.
During the meeting, the two diplomats discussed issues of bilateral interests, as well as regional and international developments. They expressed satisfaction with the expanding level of cooperation between Iran and Serbia in various fields.
Bagheri Kani pointed out that Iran's approach towards Europe was based on cooperation and mutual respect. “The overarching policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been to elevate stability and security in Europe, and we are ready for collaboration in this regard."
He underscored the necessity of strengthening economic relations between Iran and Balkan countries, particularly Serbia, adding, “Sustained stability and security are intertwined with the strengthening of economic ties.”
Goran Aleksic, in response, said he was pleased with his visit to Iran, describing it as constructive and aligned with the goal of elevating bilateral relations between the two countries.
