Iran FM departs Tehran for Islamabad

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has embarked on an official visit to Islamabad for high-level talks with Pakistani officials.

Amirabdollahian left Tehran for Islamabad on Wednesday.

The official visit is in line with Iran's foreign policy strategy of enhancing relations with neighboring nations.

During the talks, both sides will explore opportunities to deepen the partnership between Iran and Pakistan.

The talks are also expected to encompass issues of border cooperation, trade enhancement, and collaborative efforts in addressing regional challenges.

Iran’s top diplomat will also discuss with Pakistani officials the necessity of a unified response from the Islamic countries to recent acts of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Denmark.
