Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari is heading the Iranian delegation in this meeting and Deputy Finance Minister of Pakistan Samar Ihsan chaired the Pakistani delegation.
Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam also attended the meeting.
The most important agenda of today's meeting is to follow-up of the recent agreements in the meeting between Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Implementation of the barter trade mechanism between the two countries, border, customs relations, including the agreements of the 21st Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Pakistan which was held in Pakistan is of agenda of today's meeting.
During his speech at the opening ceremony, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy emphasized the need for strong convergence of the two countries to overcome the problems in the development of economic and commercial cooperation.
Safari added that the main purpose of the high-ranking Iranian economic delegation's visit to the friendly and neighboring country of Pakistan is to follow up on bilateral agreements and to help achieve common interests.
