The minister made the remarks in a meeting on Wednesday with the new Turkish ambassador to Tehran Hicabi Kırlangıç.
Vahidi said that the relations between Iran and Turkiye would help the peace and stability across the region.
He also called for more cooperation with Turkiye on the issue of expatriates, as well as the fight against organized crimes and arms smuggling.
The Turkish ambassador, for his part, underlined the need for more foreign trade and security interactions, and facilitating travels to Iran and Turkiye by citizens from both countries, as well as stepped-up fight against terrorism.
