Israeli forces, protesters clash in Tel Aviv

Tehran, IRNA – Clashes between protesters demonstrating against prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reform bill and the Zionist regime’s police continued early on Tuesday when the police tried to reopen streets in downtown Tel Aviv.

According to Palestine’s Sama news agency, the regime’s police tried to open Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv with cavalry forces and water cannons. The road had been blocked by tens of thousands of protesters.

In the town of Hatzerim located in the southern Negev, a security force fired at protesters. The shooting occurred after the residents of the town attempted to block its entry, so a clash erupted and a security agent fired at the protesters.

The Knesset (the Zionist regime’s parliament) has approved the reasonableness bill in its second and third readings amid widespread opposition protests. Under the existing law, the Supreme Court of the Zionist regime can rule against government and elected officials' decisions if they are deemed unreasonable.
