Naderi who paid a four-day official visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), attended at the News Agency’s office and met with its managers on Thursday.
Referring to the fundamental policies of the incumbent government in Iran to expanding ties with neighbors, Naderi said that the Azerbaijan Republic is one of the most significant neighbors for Iran, and developing ties with Azerbaijan has been always pursued since the beginning of the new government in Iran.
Iran and Azerbaijan’s good ties have some enemies, he said, adding that unfortunately the relations between the two countries have faced tensions due to the recent attack on the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran, but the will of the two sides is to resolving the issues and returning the good ties.
Pointing to the plans of IRNA News Agency on return good ties between the two countries, Naderi added that IRNA will launch its Azeri website in the coming days as the first step and then it will re-open its office in Baku for covering the news of Azerbaijan directly.
