– Iranian Muslims preparing for mourning season of Muharram

Every year, as the lunar month of Muharram approaches, the people of Iran and millions of Shia Muslims worldwide embark on a solemn journey of grief and reverence. This sacred month holds significance as it marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the third Shia Imam, and his loyal companions. It was during those days, some 1,400 ago, that they valiantly sacrificed their lives in the city of Karbala, in present-day Iraq, facing the forces of the 2nd Umayyid caliph, Yazid.

– US firms won’t touch Iran’s seized oil: WSJ

US federal prosecutors can’t auction off 800,000 barrels of seized Iranian oil sitting in a Greek tanker off the coast of Texas because US companies are reluctant to unload it, according to people familiar with the matter. Prosecutors commandeered the Suez Rajan tanker carrying the oil earlier this year after charging its Greek owner with sanctions evasion, and directing the ship into the muddy-green waters 65 miles off Galveston’s coast, the Wall Street Journal wrote.

– Doha parties to brief Iran on Lebanese dialogue: Report

Qatari Minister Mohammed al-Khulaifi will soon visit Tehran to brief the high-ranking officials of the key player in Lebanon on the outcomes of a five-nation meeting on devising a roadmap for reaching a Lebanese dialogue. Representatives from Egypt, France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United States held their second quintet meeting on Monday in the Qatari capital, Doha, MTV Lebanon reported.

– 5+1 Hurdles to the Deal

Despite Iran's flexibility, it seems that the United States is either not ready or incapable of reviving the nuclear agreement for various reasons. One of Joe Biden's promises during the 2020 elections was to revive the nuclear agreement. The agreement was formed during Obama's time and Trump illegally and unilaterally withdrew from it in 2018. Biden criticized Trump's actions and promised to revive the JCPOA if he went to the White House.

– Lavrov says Russia has ‘no doubt’ about Iranian territorial integrity

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said late on Tuesday that his country has “no doubt” about Iran’s territorial integrity and fully respects this principle. “The Russian Federation has no doubt about the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran and has fully respected it and will do it” in the future, Lavrov said in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

– Iranian territorial integrity not negotiable: MP

A senior Iranian lawmaker has said that Tehran does not negotiate over its territorial integrity, lambasting Russia for aligning itself with the United Arab Emirates in relation to Iran’s three islands in the Persian Gulf.  The lawmaker, Ruhollah Motefaker Azad, who is a member of the Iranian parliament’s presiding board, said Russia signing off on the joint statement with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council countries stems from their lack of knowledge of the developments.

– Protesters Block Highways in Tel Aviv

Protesters blocked highways and briefly stormed the stock exchange on a “Day of Disruption” on Tuesday as legislators prepared to ratify one of prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s disputed bills to give him extensive powers. Thousands poured onto the streets in rallies across the occupied territories, and police reported at least a half-dozen highways had been blocked.

– Iran, World’s Fifth Pneumonia Vaccine Producer

An Iranian official says the Islamic Republic has become the fifth country in the world to master the technology that is required to produce pneumonia vaccine. The announcement was made by Mostafa Qane’i, the secretary of the Knowledge-Based Health Economics Development Headquarters, which is affiliated with the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy.
