'Inauguration of southwest road to boost economy of 400 villages nearby'

Yasuj, IRNA – In an inauguration ceremony of the Pataveh-Dehdasht main road in the southwest of Iran, President Ebrahim Raisi has underscored that the route will improve the economy of 400 villages nearby.

President Raisi addressed media outlets on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the Pataveh-Dehdasht road on Tuesday, saying that many villages along the main road will benefit from its blessings, because the rural regions’ economy will become active and prosperous as a result of the road in the southwest province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.

Another function of the road is that it will help connect the city of Dehdasht to other districts; so, it is no longer a dead-end, the president said, adding that the road plays a fundamental role in the development and prosperity of the region.

The strategic route has several advantages for the area because it links the central region of the country to the southern ports, he continued.

According to the president, the length of tunnels on the Pataveh-Dehdasht road is 10 kilometers as well as the construction of several bridges and tunnels on this route shows the fact that the project was difficult.

In a two-day visit, President Raisi and his cabinet members arrived in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province on Monday to carry out their sixth destination of the second round of their provincial tours.
