Saeed Rad said on Sunday that $104,000 metric tons of rapeseed had been outputted in 4 months to mid-July which shows a 6 percent growth as compared to the corresponding period of the year before.
Stating that half of the country's rapeseed has been outputted in two provinces of Khuzestan and Golestan, he said that Khuzestan and Golestan stood in the first and second places, repectively in the country’s rapeseed output with 30 percent and 20 percent.
Mazandaran province ranks in third place with 9 percent of rapeseed production, he noted.
Referring to the unprecedented growth of rapeseed output in the provinces of Kordestan and Khorasan Razavi, Rad noted that rapeseed output in these provinces hike 10 and 9.5 times, respectively compared with last year's corresponding period.
With the onset of spring, rapeseed yellow blossoms create eye-catching views in Iran, and at the end of the first months of spring cultivation of rapeseed begins in the country.
