Milad Valizadeh (57kg), Reza Atri (61kg), Rahman Amoozad (65kg), and Amir Mohammad Yazdani (70kg) are among the main members of Iran's freestyle wrestling team, the IRNA reported on Saturday.
The Iranian squad also features Yunes Emami (74kg), Mohammad Nokhodi (79kg), Hassan Yazdani (86kg), Kamran Ghasempoor (92kg), Mojtaba Gelich (97kg) and Amir Hossein Zare (125kg).
Ghasempoor’s injury in the weight category of 97 kg has brought about many doubts about his participation in the world championships.
Belgrade, which hosted the 2022 World Championships, is to host the latest round of the tournament on September 16-24, 2023.
