The sixth session of the Headquarters for the Coordination of Foreign Economic Relations in the current year was held in the presence of members of the headquarters, and chaired by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari on Tuesday.
Referring to the incumbent government’s emphasis on taking a special approach to developing cooperation with African countries, Safari urged using all capacities for enhancing trade ties with North Africa in the fields of industries and mines, livestock and fisheries, energy, and agriculture.
He also stressed developing maritime and air transport routes, active participation in exhibitions, and health tourism, as well as attracting students and issuing services, as well as engineering.
Referring to the tough rivals, including Europe, China, and Turkiye in this region, he called for seriousness in the work, a positive outlook, and continuous efforts to accelerate the implementation of the understanding and develop relations with the African countries.
