Mohammad Khazaei, who is also the head of the FCF board of trustees, picked Majid Zeynolabedin as the managing director of the Foundation on Monday.
Zeynolabedin has an MA in political science and international affairs. He has already been an advisor to Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the managing director of the Roudaki Artistic Cultural Foundation, and the director of state TV channels 1, 3, and 5.
Established in 1983, FCF has operated in a wide range of activities covering all aspects of the cinema and film industry; however, now its objectives are mainly focused on feature films. Farabi has produced films, supplied raw materials, lent camera equipment, provided post-production facilities, published various cinematic literature, and sponsored film festivals since the very first steps of the launch of New Iranian Cinema. FCF has also organized Fajr Film Festival and Children's Film Festival over the last two decades, according to the FCF website.
