Iranian health centers provide their patients with announcements in both English and Arabic languages, Karimi made the remarks in a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi on Sunday.
He added that 226 out of the 247 health centers are ready to accept foreign patients, noting that some 18 centers provide day care and three others provide dental care services.
The official underlined that the health centers in Iran accepted over one million non-Iranian patients in the last Iranian year (ended on March 20, 2023).
He further noted that the majority of patients came from Afghanistan and Iraq, who were followed by those who were from Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Oman, Armenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and Bahrain respectively.
Patients from 164 countries have visited Iran to receive medical care so far, Karimi said, adding that foreign patients have received medical care in different fields of infertility treatment, female diseases and childbirth, as well as ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, vascular surgery and urology.
