-- Mining exports in past three months top $3.3b
Iranian Mine and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), in its latest report, announced that $3.3 billion worth of mining and mineral products were exported from the country in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year.
IMIDRO added that mining and mineral companies exported 15,812,000 tons of various products, valued at $3.32 billion, from March 21 to June 22.
-- Crude output in Abouzar Oilfield to raise by 10,000 bpd
Chief executive of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) Alireza Mehdizadeh on Saturday announced that the daily oil production of the company will increase by about 10,000 barrels of oil per day with the installation of a deck of Platforms A20 and A21 of Abouzar Oilfield in the second half of the current Iranian calendar year (September 21—March 19).
Speaking during a visit to the workshop that constructs the platforms in Khorramshahr, he said that the construction of these oil platforms has progressed by about 85%.
-- Iran aims for $500m furniture exports in two years
Iran’s Union of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters has set an ambitious target of achieving $500 million in furniture exports within the next two years, according to union president Hassan Ahmadian.
Speaking to ISNA on Saturday, Ahmadian highlighted Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and various African countries as the primary markets for Iranian furniture exports in the past year, during which Iran’s overall furniture exports hit a total value of $70 million.

Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) in its latest report announced that $3.3 billion worth of mining and mineral products was exported form the country in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year.
Mining and mineral companies exported 15,812,000 tons of various products, valued at $3.320 billion, from March 21 to June 22, IMIDRO added. The country had exported 13,717,000 tons of mining and mineral products from March 21 to June 22, 2022.
-- Official: 130,000 Ships Dock at Iran Ports Annually Despite Sanctions
Referring to the annual docking of 130,000 vessels at Iran’s ports, a deputy minister of roads and urban development said foreign investment has been made under FDI in the shipping, port and logistics fields despite the sanctions imposed against the country.
Ali Akbar Safaei said 130,000 ships made port calls in Iran in spite of the sanctions imposed against the country.
Various expert-level sessions and fruitful talks have been held with the neighboring and target countries in the maritime and ports sector, he said, adding, “In addition, we succeeded in concentrating a major part of the foreign investment on the construction of International North-South Transport Corridor.”

Iranian lawmaker Mojtaba Tavangar has said that France’s support for the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) is not in conformity with international norms.
“The support of the French government to the group of Hypocrites (MEK) is not based on international norms and rules,” the lawmaker told Fars News. “Certainly, the continuation of hosting and supporting a terrorist group will be against humanitarian and legal standards. The presence of the killers of 17,000 terror martyrs in Paris is a clear insult to the Iranian nation, and these behaviors will certainly be met with protests by Iranians and victims of terrorism.”

As announced by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation (IMIDRO), export from the country’s mining sector stood at 15.812 million tons worth $3.3 billion in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21).
IMIDRO put the figure at 13.717 million tons valued at $3.275 billion in the first quarter of the previous year. Steel and steel products were the top exported commodities in this sector, followed by copper and its byproducts, sponge iron, aluminum and related items.
