In an interview with IRNA on Sunday, Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi said that Iran’s central province exported more than $6.47 million of shoes and sandals from March 21-June 21.
The province has exported 3,886 tons of shoes and sandals in the said period, he said.
As many as 300 units are operational in the sphere of producing shoes in Qom, the official noted.
These units have directly generated around 10,000 jobs, he said, adding that the sector has also created 25,000 jobs indirectly.
