Iran and Kazakhstan have targeted $1 billion of trade in the agriculture and food industry sectors, announced Deputy Agriculture Minister Alireza Peymanpak, who headed a trade delegation to the Central Asian state.

The Iranian Navy’s 90th flotilla of warships arrived home on Tuesday after sailing in international waters for 84 days to ensure the security of Iranian and foreign merchant ships.
A number of naval officials including the Army Navy Commander for Coordinating Affairs Admiral Babak Balouch were participating in a ceremony on Tuesday in Bandar Abbas to welcome the return of the Navy’s 90th flotilla of warships.

Iranian security forces have disbanded a ring involved in the illegal trafficking of firearms and ammunition into the country, and arrested over a dozen people during a string of operations in the country’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, close to the border with Pakistan.
Provincial police commander General Doostali Jalilian told reporters on Tuesday that police forces, in coordination with intelligence agents, picked up on the activities of the smugglers in the northern and southern parts of the province and swiftly launched an investigation into the matter.

-- Over 90,000 Afghan nationals repatriated
More than 90,000 Afghan nationals residing in Iran were sent back to their country in the spring. The Afghan nationals were gathered from across the country and returned via the Dogharon border in Khorasan Razavi province, IRNA quoted Hossein Sherafati-Rad, the provincial director for foreign nationals and refugees, as saying.
The Afghan nationals wanted personally to return to their country, he stressed.
