Tehran, IRNA – Iran has bene represented at a 70th session of the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) in Vienna, Austria.

According to UNSCEAR website, the committee meetings of the UN body were held from 19-23 June 2023  with the participation of more than 150 scientists from 30 state members and 11 international organizations, the IRNA reported on Monday.

The secretariat in Vienna, which is functionally linked to the UN Environment Programme, organizes the annual sessions and manages the preparation of documents for the Committee's scrutiny.
