Bagheri Kani made the remarks in a meeting with his Burkinabe counterpart Issa Boro here in Tehran on Sunday.
He welcomed the opening of the Burkina Faso embassy in Tehran, terming the Joint Commission for Comprehensive Cooperation as a suitable mechanism for following up on issues of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, Boro described Iran as a country with great historical civilization and culture.
Burkina Faso government is determined to develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in political, economic, and cultural fields, he added.
