'Expansion of resistance to trigger Israeli regime's collapse'

Tehran, IRNA - Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Akbar Ahmadian has stated that the expansion of the Resistance Front across the Israeli-occupied territories will ultimately lead to the collapse of the Israeli regime.

“The expansion of resistance units throughout Palestine will not only shatter the imaginary ambitions of the Zionist regime, but also result in the downfall of the occupying regime,” Ahmadian said in a meeting with Secretary General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement Ziad al-Nakhaleh in Tehran on Saturday.

The two officials exchanged views on the latest regional developments, focusing on the resistance movement's efforts to liberate occupied al-Quds from the clutches of the Zionist regime.

“The five-day war demonstrated that the Zionist regime is declining, while the resistance groups are on the rise,” Ahmadian said, referring to the cross-border exchanges between the Israeli regime and Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip in May.

He expressed admiration for the unparalleled resilience displayed by the Palestinians, especially by the Islamic Jihad movement during the recent war.

Iran’s top security official also reiterated the Islamic Republic’s ironclad commitment to support the Palestinian people and their cause of liberation.

“Supporting the Islamic Jihad movement, in line with the aspiration of liberating Palestine, is our duty and we will continue to fulfill it with steadfastness and pride,” he pointed out.

Nakhaleh, in turn, expressed gratitude for the support extended by the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Palestinian struggle for justice.

The Islamic Jihad leader also provided a detailed report on recent developments in the occupied territories, highlighting the recent victories against the Zionist regime.
