The simulator was unveiled in a ceremony in the Iranian capital on Tuesday where senior military and government officials were present.
The system consists of five separate simulators, including a flight control tower, precision approach radars, and an air traffic control radar.
The simulator system will be used for training undergraduate and graduate students as well for on-the-job training courses in air traffic control systems, according to Commander of Air Force of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, who was present in the unveiling ceremony.
Vahedi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran had become a hub of manufacturing aviation simulators in the West Asia region.
