Bagheri, said in a Twitter post on Tuesday that he had travelled to the UAE to upgrade bilateral ties and to discuss regional issues.
The diplomat is also Iran's top negotiator in international talks aimed at revising a 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.
The visit comes two weeks after Emirati Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar travelled to Tehran to hold talks with Bagheri.
The UAE has sought to elevate the level of its political ties with Iran some seven years after it downgraded diplomatic relations after Saudi Arabia's embassy in Iran was stormed by protesters over Riyadh's execution of a prominent Shia cleric.
In a telephone conversation held on April 22, foreign ministers of Iran and the UAE underlined the importance of developing bilateral cooperation to the highest level, especially with regards to ties between the two countries’ private sectors.
