-- ’$2.7b of Iran’s frozen assets in Iraq released’
The chairman of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce said on Saturday that part of Iran’s assets frozen in Iraqi banks has been reportedly released by the Arab country.
Yahya Al-e Es’hagh said that the neighboring country has released $2.7 billion, which is part of Iraq’s debt to Iran.
-- Iran to launch oil projects worth $14.5b by March: Minister
Sixty-four oil industry projects, with a total investment of $14.5 billion, will be launched in Iran by the end of the current Iranian year (March 19, 2024), announced Oil Minister Javad Owji on Saturday.
“Despite the harsh conditions and problems created by the sanctions, including difficulties related to financing, or the provision of some sensitive and complex equipment, the Oil Ministry has not neglected investment in this strategic industry, which is the driving force of the national economy,” he told Shana.

Iranian Labor Minister Solat Mortazavi in a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Ali bin Smaikh al-Marri in the Swiss capital of Geneva discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between Qatar and Iran, especially in the labor sector.
Mortazavi emphasized on the extensive cooperation between Iran and Qatar in the economic, political and cultural fields and said promoting relations with Qatar is very strategic for Tehran.

Iran’s Deputy Ministry of Agriculture for Horticultural Affairs Muhammad Mehdi Boroumandi met and held talks with Secretary of Indian Ministry of Agriculture Manoj Ahuja on Saturday.
The deputy agriculture ministers of Iran and India agreed on organizing the first joint Working Group for bolstering agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

--Seven overseas troupes to perform at Mobarak Puppet Theater Festival
Seven troupes will give performances during the 19th edition of the Mobarak Puppet Theater Festival, which will take place in Tehran from June 28 to July 8. Speaking to journalists, the festival’s new president Hadi Hejazifar said that the groups are from Armenia, Turkey, Spain, Brazil and Peru.
“We tried to pick the works that have something new for students and puppeteers,” he said.
