The match held on Saturday saw China beat Iran 25-23 in the first set, but the Iranian players defeated their Chinese squad 25-15 in the second set.
Behrouz Ataei’s men beat their rival 25-20 in the third set and 25-14 in the fourth set to win the match.
Iran started the world league earlier this week with a 3-0 loss against hosts Japan in Nagoya but put up an acceptable performance against Poland in the second match despite being defeated 3-2 against the world’s number one team.
The fourth edition of the tournament is underway in with the presence of top 16 teams from around the world.
Only eight teams will make it to Gdansk, Poland for the final round from 19 to 23 July.
