In a statement on Friday evening, the Yemeni National Salvation Government's Ministry of fisheries warned about the consequences of any agreement between Saudi Arabia and the former exiled Yemeni government with regard to the management of toxic nuclear waste.
The ministry warned about a potential environmental disaster that could be caused by Saudi nuclear waste which has been and will be buried in the desert and marine areas in Yemen.
The Yemeni ministry also made it clear that efforts to turn Yemen into a dump of toxic waste would amount to a "crime against humanity," as it called on the international community to take immediate action to stop those efforts.
Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a deadly war of aggression against Yemen in March 2015 to reinstall a former Riyadh-friendly government in the country.
The war has left Yemen grappling with what analysts say is the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
