Iran’s top diplomat Hossein Amirabdollahian described the meeting held on Wednesday as an appropriate opportunity to review ways to develop bilateral ties, according to a Thursday report by the IRNA.
Pointing to Iran’s achievements in new technologies and the knowledge-based sector of the economy, Amirabdollahian expressed satisfaction over the establishment of cooperation between Iran and Brunei in those fields.
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, for his part, invited his Iranian counterpart to visit Brunei as he underlined the need for expansion of joint ventures in different fields.
The two sides also discussed issues relating to consulate affairs, the fight against extremism and Islamophobia, the Palestinian cause, the continuation of talks for lifting anti-Iran sanctions and the ongoing developments in Ukraine.
