Washington advised to avoid making accusations against Iran

Tehran, IRNA – The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has advised the United States to avoid making unfounded accusations against the Islamic Republic.

In a statement issued late on Tuesday, Nasser Kanaani reacted to remarks made by the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at a conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Washington two days ago.

Kanaani said that making groundless accusations against the Islamic Republic is in line with US policies to provide continuous and all-out support for the apartheid regime of Israel.

He said that Iran will not hesitate in taking action to strengthen its deterrent power and to preserve its rights and security.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always reiterated its support for the Palestinian nation in order to back the oppressed people in the occupied territories to determine their own fate and to fight oppression, said Kanaani.

He said that the United States' announcement that it will resort to force against other governments is against international law, especially the charter of the United Nations.

In the end, the spokesman advised the US to revise its illegal and unsuccessful policies on Iran.

In remarks to an AIPAC conference on June 5, Blinken accused Iran of seeking to undermine the stability of the West Asia region by providing military support to various groups and governments.
