Kanaani wrote on his Twitter account on Saturday that Amirabdollahian’s active contribution to the the BRICS+ in South Africa where he held around 10 important bilateral meetings with counterparts and foreign ministers of other countries showed the dynamism of Iran's foreign policy at the international level.
FM Amirabdollahian arrived in Cape Town earlier this week at the official invitation of his South African counterpart Grace Naledi Mandisa Pandor on Thursday with the aim of taking part in a meeting of friends of the BRICS group of emerging economies.
The BRICS+ is a grouping of original members Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, together with other countries that are in the process of joining the group.
Iran says it has been among the first countries seeking to join the BRICS.
