Hundreds of Hezbollah members participated in the “resistance maneuver” on Sunday, which featured an assortment of military hardware, including tanks, missiles, live ammunition, and rocket launchers.
The drill, which simulated an operation repelling an Israeli invasion of Lebanon, came days before the 23rd anniversary of the liberation of southern Lebanon from the Zionist occupiers.
In a rare move, the resistance movement allowed foreign reporters to cover the exercise.
Hezbollah's media officer Muhammad Afif said the maneuver “sent a message to the Israeli regime about the readiness of the resistance to deter enemy aggression and defend Lebanon.”
Israeli forces left most of southern Lebanon on May 25, 2000, after 22 years of occupation.
