An IRNA analysis on Nouri's trial in Sweden published on Sunday showed that the Iranian national has been effectively deprived of even personal papers he needs to defend himself.
That exposes the fact that Nouri's trial in Sweden is a mere political show rather than a fair, legal trial.
Nouri, a former Iranian judiciary official, was detained upon arrival at Stockholm Airport in November 2019. He was put on trial on trumped-up charges made by the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO), a group designed by Iran and many other countries as terrorist.
Based on his lawyer's remarks, it seems as if there are hidden hands at work in the Swedish detention center and in the police department so that Nouri cannot defend himself successfully.
According to the lawyer, Nouri had not received all the documents he needed to defend himself.
During his trial, Nouri’s lawyers were supposed to present arguments based on the documents, but all his papers, as well as his laptop and iPad were taken away.
In addition, Nouri has visual problems and does not have access to an ophthalmologist.
That is why his lawyer said in the appeals court that “there is no possibility of defense under such conditions".
