Khatib made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's judiciary officials in Mashad, northeast Iran, on Sunday and said that during last year's riots in Iran, more than 200 media outlets, 35 think tanks as well as dozens of intelligence services operating outside Iran were working to undermine the country's national security.
Strong communications and interactions with countries in the region as a result of policies adopted by President Ebrahim Raisi's government, along with the vigilance of the Iranian people, were among the important factors that caused a failure of Iran's foes in implementing their conspiracies against the Islamic Republic of Iran, said the minister.
He said that enemies will continue their hybrid war against the Iranian nation in various forms, adding that it is necessary for Iran to have an accurate intelligence and security estimate about such efforts.
