Qalibaf issued his congratulatory message on Saturday, the same day that the 86th flotilla of the Army’s navy docked at the port of Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, following its 220-day tour of the Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic Oceans.
The top parliamentarian said that the successful mission is a matter of prestige, honor and happiness.
It displayed the powerful presence of Iranian armed forces in international waters and proved to the world that Iranians will always emerge victorious in accomplishing key missions, he added.
Qalibaf also said in his message that the practical and scientific achievements of the mission will certainly provide assistance in planning strategic goals of the Navy as well as military diplomacy.
The 86th flotilla, made up of domestically-built Dena destroyer and Makran forward base ship, set sail from Bandar Abbas on September 20, 2022 for a mission aimed at expanding Iran’s naval presence in international waters.
