The projects were launched in a ceremony on Wednesday which was attended by Iran's telecoms minister Issa Zarepour.
One of the projects was providing fiber-to-the-home (FTTX) to three million households and businesses in Iran.
Iran has a plan to connect 20 million households and businesses in the country to optic fiber network by 2025.
The project is currently underway in 19 Iranian provinces and 60 cities.
Another project inaugurated on Wednesday was to boost communication links between the Iranian mainland and islands of Abu Mousa, the Greater Tunb and the Lesser Tunb in the Persian Gulf as well as links between two islands of Hendorabi and Kish in southern Iran.
Iran’s telecoms ministry also said that some 4,000 new Iranian villages with more than 20 households had been connected to the National Information Network, a platform which offers high-speed internet and intranet services in the country.
