Feyenoord clinch first Dutch title since Iran’s Jahanbakhsh joined in

Tehran, IRNA – Feyenoord clinched their second Dutch Eredivisie title of the century in a game where Iranian striker Alireza Jahanbakhsh came on as a substitute.

With two games to spare, Feyenoord wrapped up the Dutch championship with a comfortable 3-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles in Rotterdam on Sunday.

Jahanbakhsh, who joined the club in 2021, came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute to play a role in the decisive game, which sealed the title for his club for the first time since 2017.

Oussama Idrissi scored the first goal in the 15th minute, with Santiago Gimenez adding another only three minutes later. Igor Paixao scored the third nine minutes into the second half.

The game put Feyenoord in an unassailable lead with 79 points from 32 games. It also marked the club’s 16th title in its 115-year-long history and its second in the current century.
